Hello,

I am new to Mythtv and find myself having a problem with the video being
displayed incorrectly on my TV. When I choose “Watch TV” I have video and
sound but the picture is “scrunched”, for lack of a better term. To be
more exact, I have a 32 inch TV that has a screen which measures 25.5
inches wide by 19.5 inches high. The output from Myth covers the entire
width but only measures 4.5 inches high. It kind of looks like it’s doing
16:9 but the ratio isn’t correct as I have seen 16:9 before on this TV
and it is not the same. This problem only exists when watching video
in Myth as X looks perfect as does the console. My system specs and
xorg.conf file is below if it will help. Please let me know if I need to
provide any other information to help troubleshoot this. Thanks in
advance for any and all help!!

My system specs are:

Hardware:

P4 2.4

512MB RAM

Nvidia Geforce FX video card with S-Video out

Software:

Fedora Core 4 (followed the Fedora guide.

# Option "Xleds" "1 2 3"

# To disable the XKEYBOARD extension, uncomment XkbDisable.

# Option "XkbDisable"

# To customise the XKB settings to suit your keyboard, modify the

# lines below (which are the defaults). For example, for a non-U.S.

# keyboard, you will probably want to use:

# Option "XkbModel" "pc102"

# If you have a US Microsoft Natural keyboard, you can use:

# Option "XkbModel" "microsoft"

#

# Then to change the language, change the Layout setting.

# For example, a german layout can be obtained with:

# Option "XkbLayout" "de"

# or:

# Option "XkbLayout" "de"

# Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

#

# If you'd like to switch the positions of your capslock and

# control keys, use:

# Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:swapcaps"

# Or if you just want both to be control, use:

# Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:nocaps"
