Forget WMP9 and use TCPMP.  You won't be sorry.  I watch video almost
every night on my Dell Axim.  With earbuds and the lights off it's a
better viewing experience than the TV usually.

TCPMP is an excellent solution.  It natively plays all the formats to which I have exported video so far.  For some reason I thought the 6600's native resolution was 640x480, so I'll try transcoding the video down to save some space (and reduce the occasional stutter).
