[mythtv-users] ALSA issue

Hi there,

Well, my old Myth box died, so I put MythTV 0.20 on a brand new machine.
This one has decent audio with a spiffy SPDIF which would be fun to use,
so I proceeded to get ALSA going.

It actually worked pretty fast. When I aplay or mplayer -ao
alsa:device=default, no problem.

But when I tell MythTV to use ALSA:default (or ALSA:anything) and I start
MythMusic, the whole thing crashes. It doesn't just not work, it crashes.

I've setup MythTV as per docs, and I've verified that ALSA works just
fine. But not in MythTV (or really MythMusic. I don't watch TV on this
box).

I have a... sneaking suspicion that it miiiiiight have something to do
with ALSA sending 48kHz rather than 44.1, but I see nothing in any docs
about that...

(I've workarounded it by using the OSS wrappers for ALSA but I'd rather
use native ALSA).
