[mythtv-users] LIRC/Remote Troubleshooting

I have exactly the same problem and asked it here a few weeks ago but
no one replied to it.  In my case it was working perfectly until I
upgraded from .19.  I have verified the files mentioned as you can see
below.  I also checked my lircd output and mythfrontend is connecting
to it on startup.

$ ls -l ~/.lircrc ~/.mythtv/lircrc
lrwxrwxrwx  1 mythtv mythtv   14 Dec  1 16:18 /home/mythtv/.lircrc ->
.mythtv/lircrc
-rw-r--r--  1 mythtv mythtv 7953 Nov 27 22:59 /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc

I am open to any debugging ideas to try.  My only remaining idea is to
start adding debug code to mythfrontend itself.  And that is pretty
drastic.
