I've got it to work on a Nova-T which I presume is the same as far as
the SVideo input is concerned.

Sounds like you've got a cabling problem, what are your cabling arrangements.

SVideo doesn't carry audio, you have to feed it separately.  There's
an audio input mini-jack on my Nova-T.
