I was able to get it working using the instructions in this email

HOWEVER, VLC still bombs in a huge way when I feed it MPEG2 HDTV
source (air2pc cards). PVR-250 sources work fine, HD sources bomb VLC
without it ever starting successfully.. Anyone else having this
trouble, or able to make it work??
