I had a problem like this once. It turned out that my front-end and  
back-end were set to different time-zones. For some reason, that  
effected the commercial skip system, but once I fixed the front-end's  
time-zone, it worked again. Don't know if that's what's causing your  
problem, but I figure it's worth suggesting.
