[mythtv-users] Playback framerate problem

Hi

I have setup a MythTV machine with the following hardware in the last week:

Processor: AMD 64 3500+
Memory: 1GB
DVB card: Technotrend C2300
Analogue card: Hauppage PVR-150
Graphic card: Nvidia 7300GT

I am using the TV-out from the nvidia card connected to a normal CRT TV
using S-Video. I have tried to configure the MPEG decoder setting in
MythTV both as "XVMC Standard" and as "Standard", with "XVMC Standard"
the framerate is a little bit better but I saw some hang/stability
issues when running "XVMC" so I would prefer to use the "Standard" mpeg
decoder choice.

The problems I am having are related to framerate during playback in two
situations.
The problem is the same both when watching LiveTV and watching
previously recorded shows.

Problem 1:
Directly after I turn on teletext/subtitles the picture is stuttering a
few times during a period of maybe 15 seconds.

Problem 2:
When watching a recording or LiveTV the framerate sometimes drops to
maybe 50-75% of the normal framerate. This is most noticable when
watching sports but can also be seen when playing back other type of
recordings. The framerate drops occurs more often when running with
teletext enabled than when running without teletext.

Is this types of framerate issues normal in MythTV with these kind of
hardware or is there something that can be adjusted ?

Any answers or ideas are appreciated

Regards
