[mythtv-users] Picture quality when watching TV

Hi, I've already posted a similar question, but haven't got any
replies...

I've got an avermedia 77x tuner, and I'm trying to watch cable TV
through it's S-Video input. I can get get it to work, but I'm far from
happy with the picture quality. Would you recommend getting one of those
DVICO HD tuners?

Also, sometimes, when watching live TV, the system freezes, and I need
to do a hard reset. Any ideas on how to debug this?

I'm running knoppmythr5c7, on a PIV 2.8Ghz 775, with 512MB of ram.
