Well, that's more of a debian question, but pretty much. Though I  
think that parts of Apt were b0rk'd in KnoppMyth in order to preserve  
something, or something or other. You might want to check on that,  
but I've used KnoppMyth safely.

Provided you don't mess with any of the multimedia packages, probably  
not. I think it ought to be pretty safe.

Because of some problems, you won't be able to upgrade the KnoppMyth  
software via Apt, though you will be able to upgrade everything not- 
Myth and keep a KnoppMyth system.
