Are you sure your tuner was properly detected?  Check dmesg to find out.

Sorry, you're stuck with it.  You can launch an external program to play the
video, but there will still be a slight delay.

I'm guessing you're running MySQL version 5.  Known problem. You have a
couple choices here:

1) Downgrade to MySQL version 4.something
2) Upgrade MythTV to 0.19 (or even better, 0.19-fixes)
