Sorry if this is too obvious, but it sounds like you don't have
lircrc in your ~/.mythtv directory. Or if you do, you don't have the
right one or it's configed wrong. If you're sure it's right, check
the permissions on it to make sure the user that runs the frontend
can access that file.
