[mythtv-users] how to verify lirc native mode

I tried ircat and pressed some buttons on the remote:

>ircat mythtv
Down
Up
Return
1
2
3

This seems to work fine.  I think the problem is somehow within mythtv,
I need to see if it is actually including the lirc code, is there any
indication
in the output log with a "high" debug level?
