[mythtv-users] Video dies every few hours

Nothing at all - it is a zero length file - several days out of date.   
I just deleted it and tried to restart the backend without rebooting to 
see what would happen, and I then got the message "select timeout - ivtv 
driver has stopped responding" - so that is the problem, the question 
then becomes why is ivtv dying?  BTW I am using ivtv 0.4.4 - installed 
as per the Hyams instructions.
