As mentioned, once transcoded your mpeg4 file is in a nuv container.  
Nearly all my dvb-t stuff is transcoded these days.  If you set the 
transcode for 720x576 then it quite fast.

There is a convert to avi utility that works well.  A driver so winblows 
can play nuv files.

If you have your mysql setup for remote access, then baloon popups will 
give you episode information when you hover on the nuv file.
