NuppleVideo (nuv) is a container format.  It is not a video codec.  The 
video inside the contain is either MPEG-4 (for software capture cards) 
or MPEG-2 (for hardware capture cards).  This is analgous to AVI which 
also can contain different video codecs and still be an AVI file.
