Hello,
I've read this list extensively to get a FC3 x86_64
box up and running.
Now I've tried to do a fresh install on the same box
with FC4 x86_64.
Everything goes fine but running mythfrontend intially
give me this output.

-----
It's weird. If I run mythfrontend from the .mythtv
directory I get the
above text. If I run it from any other directory the
seg fault will
occur after the "Inserting MythDVD intial database
information." line.
Also, I happen to notice there is a message on the
dmesg output about
mythfrontend causing a "general protection rip:"
This was all done directly from a fresh install using
Jarod's guide.
Does anyone know what could be causing this or the
fix? I've tried
reinstalling several times to no avail. I can't find
any similar errors
via google or a search of this list.
System specs are: FC4 x86_64, AMD64 3000 and 6600GT
Nvidia. I'm using
the Nvidia drivers using Nvidia installer. Xine works
correctly and I
can watch live tv with mythtv by running "mythtv"
directly at the
command prompt.
Thank for any help,
Chris
