[mythtv-users] Database corruption during commercial cutting

Most of my recordings are automatically immediately transcoded to MPEG4.
Then I mark the commercials and let mythtranscode remove them.
But since I upgraded from FC1 and MythTV 0.16 to FC3 and MythTV
0.18.1(atrpms) the recordedmarkup table seems to get corrupted when
the
commercials are removed.
The symptoms are that a 10 min skip forward takes around 15 seconds and that
I then get a mixture of the image at the previous version and square blocks
of the image at the new version. After a couple of seconds the rest of the
old image disappears (probably when I hit a key frame).
I have tried a couple of time repairing the recordedmarkup table (mysqlcheck
--repair mythconverg recordedmarkup) and running mythcommflag on the
recording. That solves the delay when I skip forward/backward, but it does
not solve the problem with the square block image mixture.
In addition the recordings are no longer playable via dsmyth.

If I do not send the recordings to the second transcode (which cuts off the
commercials), then the recordings are fine and none of the symptoms
described above appears.

If I do not transcode immediately to MPEG4, but wait until I have marked the
commercials, then the final MPEG4 is ok with none of the symptoms.

Has anyone experienced these problems ?
Which applications are used for cutting the commercials on MPEG4s ? I would
like to reinstall them to see if that could solve the problem...

Any help is appreciated
