[mythtv-users] Air2PC/Airstar HD-5000 channel setup and Myth

I received my HD-5000 card the other day and got it working with
little problem thanks to the guide on http://www.hd5000.com/. By
working, I mean that the drivers load and I can azap channels and
occasionally watch them in mplayer. I am using QAM256 and Comcast
cable.

My problem is that I get too many channels via cable. I can tune
about 200 or so channels, but most are encrypted. The majority of
standard and basic cable channels are simulcast in digital and are not
encrypted, and I receive the networks in HD (2 720p and 2 1080i).

Now, I used the channel scan in the mythtv-setup program which seems
to lock on to a lot of channels, but only gives me WXIA-SD and WXIA-DT
(the NBC affiliate in Atlanta). I have not really looked into it but
I assume it is because that channel is the only one with PSIP info?
Anyway, I can't tune this channel in Myth anyway so the point is moot
(will worry about that later).

My question then becomes, is there any easier way to do this rather
than scan the channels one by one and manually add the ones I care
about? Eventually I'd like to have all the SD channels added into
Myth but for now HD only ones will do. It's going to be awful
time-consuming going through 200-some channels and picking out the 4
HD ones. Am I basically screwed because of my presumed lack of PSIP
info?

My TV has a QAM tuner as well, and I know the channel numbers of the
HD channels if that in any way helps. Is there a list of channel
numbers in relationship to their frequencies or is that fluid? Has
anyone in the Atlanta area attempted this?

Thanks for any help.
