That rivet is only a problem if you are putting a card into the top slot
(as seen when installing). The rivet head iis outside and the body inside.
If it really were a problem, you could drill out the rivet and substitute
a small flathead bolt with the head inside and the nut outside the case,
where it would not interfere with anything.

I have a SATA drive in mine and had no problem, but my drive is probably a
'lefthand' while the problem drive was a 'righthand'. Looking at the plug
sockets on my drive, they are to the left of centre. If they were in the
mirror position, then they would be VERY close too, or interfere with the
front fan... Of course, mounting the drive the other side up would remove
that interference. The fan overlaps with the front 35 mm of the drive and
the clearance is about 18mm back from the drive...You could also get more
range by drilling new mount holes in the cage since the top drive at least
can go outboard another 20 mm or so.
I like this case, notwithstanding some alignment problems with the PCI
riser and my VIA SP13000.
