[mythtv-users] vertical lines from pvr-500

Hi,

  Back now as Sid is on the mend. I've managed to load my pvr-500 using
ivtv 0.3.8 and firmware 0x02050032 and both tuners seem to be working with
audio and video, BUT:

When I play the stream in mplayer using mplayer -vo xv /dev/video0 (or directly
into X11 without the -vo switch) I am getting strange vertical lines appearing
in 3 blocks all the way across the picture (playing in mplayer) like this:

|||||||
|||||||
|||||||

They also appear capturing from composite in, so have nothing to do with
the tuner, and when playing a file written to disk from the 500.
These do not appear if I play an mpeg2 file not captured from the 500 (test
file from the net), so they are not being generated by the screencard.

I can only think this has to do with the paramaters I've used to set up
the card. I'm following Jarods wonderful guide and have used the

ivtvctl -u 0xff
ivtvctl -p 4
ivtvctl -f width=720,height=576

options to set the card up for PAL

Has anyone else seen these lines and what did they do to fix it?

Cheers
