Hoping someone can confirm the following steps are correct for building
a slave backend/frontend system.
Building the system using Jarod's guide and ATRPMs.
If I understand the documentation the slave backend gets setup just like
a standard backend except no mythfilldatabase is issued and mythtv is
configured to point to the master backend system. On the master backend
the new encoders are added.
Part of what I don't understand is if I need to NFS mount the /video
file system on the slave backend. Are all recordings stored on the
master backend file systems? Is commercial flagging run on both systems
or just the master backend?
I believe if I want to use mythgallery on the new slave backend/frontend
system I will need to NFS mount the file system from the master backend.
Thanks for any pointers. Once I get the configuration of the PVR-500
sorted out on the new system I will be getting the rest of this new
backend configured.
