[mythtv-users] XBox IR remote & lirc?

I am running the exact setup you are taking about...
 I have a device /dev/lirc 
 You need to edit the config file so that it points to this device..
 It is in /etc/conf.d/lircd
 Be sure to copy the correct remote file to /etc/ 
 I think I had to do this by hand...
