[mythtv-users] Video capture problems with Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 250

No matter what I do I can not get any video from the COAX input of the
WinTV 250 card. Everything else works great. Any idea what to try. It
appears that others have it working.

I have the exact same card as you and it has been long enough now that I
don't remember exactly what I did to fix my problems but one difference
I did notice was my permissions on /dev/video:

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 6 Sep  3 08:37 /dev/video -> video0

It does sound like you need to use ivtvctl to pickup from the right
source. Let me know what else you need to help. I am running on FC3, if
that would help you.

Have you used ivtvctl to try all of the inputs available through the
driver (typically tuner, 4x composite, and 4x S-Video)? Normally this
will let you work out which inputs you need to connect up to video
sources in mythtvsetup. When using ptune, you also need to ensure you
are using the correct channel settings (e.g. US cable, Europe etc)
