Hi Nick,
I found this page:

and am currently trying out 720x576. It does look significantly nicer than
480x480 (no surprises there I guess!)
Thanks for the tips. Will try the low rez stuff as well.
Have you tried burning DVD's yet? I'm not sure if resolution is an issue if
you want to do this. Will look into it.

Have you tried HQ recording at 720x576? This is the resolution I use
in the UK without any problems (and 480x576 for LQ). Typical bitrates
are about 8Mbit/s for HQ, 4-5Mbit/s for normal, and 2-3 for LQ.
