You do get an optical drive with the Digimatrix. You also get a heat pipe
CPU cooler. I think the main benefit of the DM is it's quietness. It has
only one fan, and it is a small one at that. The PSU is basically a laptop
power adapter. It sits outside the box so heat is diminished as well. But
the DIY factor is almost too good to pass up. It's true that if it did 1080p
more people would jump on it. It already has some darn good Linux support.
If the Ahnix case (or silverstone) could be as quiet as the DM, it would be
in the running. Those cases are also kind of big. I have even thought of
finding a 1U case that could be a FE. You could use the AGP riser boards to
move the AGP card to a horizontal position to better fit. I haven't found
any though. Has anyone else though along these terms and found something
they like?
