[mythtv-users] which is better, using S-Video or VGA?

Would you say, then, that if I just want to watch SD (iow I don't need an HD-ready TV monitor) I'm better off connecting the mythtv frontend to a good computer monitor than having an S-Video TV monitor?

I'm want to buy a decent 19" LCD monitor for TV viewing, and I was wondering whether it's better to go for an LCD TV (which is more expensive) or a good LCD computer monitor. If the VGA input is better, then I needn't worry about the LCD TV.

In most circumstances, the VGA input should be much better. However, I've seen enough goofy behavior on some LCD monitors such that I wouldn't make a blanket statement. Try both, and see which you like better.
