Well, I had a spare grey PVR-250 remote, so I got a serial receiver 
(www.home-electro.com) and got it setup and working last night. It took 
awhile, since I couldn't get the grey-remote config with lirc to work so 
I built my own. Works like a charm, improved WAF quite a bit for the 
$40CDN it cost me.
