[mythtv-users] MythTV on Kanotix based Debian for HD-3000

i figured it out, I didn't realize I had to install mythtv first for it to
work...

Another question... I'm using the defualt 2.6.13 kernel drivers as I've read
many places that they are good and proper to get this card to work. From
there I tried to compile the xine-hd and pchdtvr apps with fail, but with
mythtv working, I'm hoping i can at least check that everything is working...

so I went through the mythtv-setup and did a channel scan (cable-HRC QAM) and
it went through found some channels and then segfaulted and froze the
computer(can't even ssh in). on the terminal I see a few things, including
this error which I see twice(could have happened more?)

DVB#0 ERROR - Getting Frontend tuning parameters failed (95) Operation not
supported

theres also som talk of PSIP prefix, tableID, length, etc. & program number
with some PID and data information.

so I restart the computer and of course it looks like my onboard ATA133
controller no longer works.... relate? who knows?!...

so i've gone through all the backend and frontend setup, everything seems to
be ok, the channel scan even found the channels I get! but when i go to watch
TV I get a blank screen. no OSD or anything comes up, but pressing ESC does
go back to the MythTV menu.

any ideas?
Thanks!
Steve
