[mythtv-users] Out-of-sync audio question

I'm setting up my first MythTV box.  I am able to capture video and
audio on both tuners of my PVR-500.  I'm using Jarod's Fedora Mythology
(FC4) guide.  In section 10, he tells you how to use ptune and mplayer
to verify channel changing and other things work.

It is not clear if I need to investigate my out-of-sync audio problem
before proceeding to the next step.  If the audio from mplayer is ~2
seconds out-of-sync, should I try to eliminate the problem using ivtv
settings?  Or should I continue with setting up Myth and see if the
problem still exists there?
