[mythtv-users] Will compiling&installing from source destroy my current mythtv settings ?

Hi,

I'm using mythtv under Debian Sarge. Since there are .deb files for quite 
some plugins missing - I'd like to compile them from source....

I have mythtv installed and setup from binaries. I certainly don't wamt to 
loose those video card and channel settings. Can I compile and install and 
not loose existing settings ?
