[mythtv-users] automatically launching VideoLan or Windows Media Player with .NUV files?

I'm sure there is a way to send the URL to another app. Some applications
already automatically grab certain URLs (like torrent:// or I think
edonkey:// can do this). I'm not sure how to do this, and it's likely
something that has to be integrated with the other software.

Though of a brief search it looks like VideoLan is supposed to be packaged
with a plugin for Firefox, which would allow you to view the file right in
the browser.
