[mythtv-users] movies on data cd/dvd

iirc, in 0.16 or 0.17 the movies listed in the movie library were only 
ones that were currently accessible to the system at the time of 
entering the movie library...

ie:
- let's say UHF.avi and RedDwarf-S01E01.avi are burned on a CD.
- I insert that CD and either mount it manually, have automount take 
care of it, whatever, it's mounted
- I go to the movie library and there i see RedDwarf-S01E01.avi and UHF.avi
- I do the IMDB search, update info, etc, etc, now i have metadata and 
covers
- I unmount and eject cd
- On returning to the movie library, those movies no longer appear, BUT 
on returning to the movie manager, they do appear (and i'm not prompted 
to remove them like in 0.18)

Right now, I have tons of movies listed in the movie library that might 
or might not be play-able at any given moment, but no way of knowing 
that the UHF.avi movie listed requres me to put in a CD ...

is there any way to go back to the old way?  am i missing something as 
far as why the new way is better?  before it was all automated and i 
didn't have to do anything when i re-inserted the CD ... covers, 
metadata and all were with the movies and it was really slick
