You could setup a script wich check if fceu-sdl is active

And then kill it, otherwise it should run xvkbd

 

Or it sould run both:

Killall fceu-sdl

Xvkbd –text \e

Or so

(not tested!)

I need the EXIT key in Myth, so I can't set things up so that killing 
fceu-sdl is the only thing that button does. 

That said, I will definitely look into this approach.
