[mythtv-users] nuvexport failure with self compiled ffmpeg

So I compiled ffmpeg from source to get "-f dvd" support.  Now, no
matter what format I choose for exporting, I get the following error
from ffmpeg:
  /tmp/fifodir_6278/vidout: could not find codec parameters

I've googled all over and looked at the ffmpeg archives, but no luck
determining the problem.

I had to switch back to the older package from my distro to even export
to vcd.

Any one have a clue stick to hit me with?
