[mythtv-users] Transcoding SDTV/HDTV with Ac3 Passthrough

Hey. The other day I just got a DNTV Live! DVB-T card, which I
promptly put in the waiting PC to put MythTV on. :)

Most things seem fine (apart from not seeming to have enough grunt to
watch hdtv broadcasts), except that if I have AC3 passthrough on
(global setting) and try and get MythTV to transcode a recording that
has a AC3 audio stream, it sounds like the transcoder is attempting to
encode the AC3 stream itself, rather than transcode it (I get
discordant white noise). Anyone know why this would be happening? Or
if there are any workarounds apart from disabling pass through?
