[mythtv-users] Backend Crashes / Status Monitoring

I have noticed that these crashes take out sshd, httpd, backend, mysql,
infact just about anything I can connect to remotely. But I can still
"ping"!

Will any of the above methods work under this circumstance or should I go
back to looking for the root cause of the crashes?
