[mythtv-users] Missing Guide Data (Unknown), Randomly?

In the US (EST), have myth set to run mythfilldatabase nightly between
5 - 8am, and sometimes, maybe once a week? 10 days?, guide data is
missing for today. Tonight, after midnight everything for Wednesday
was missing on all channels, it just showed "Unknown (Unknown)" for
all channels. I manually run mythfilldatabase to correct this, but can
anyone offer some insight as to what's going wrong?
Is mythbackend clearing the data at midnight, and waiting for the next
iteration of mythfilldatabase to replenish it? I noticed that the
24th's data is missing as well, according to mythfilldatabase anyway.
I tried the archives, but didn't find anything relevant... (may not
have been searching for the right thing)
