Thanks, I know I can go that way but I wanted to run with a dual head 
setup for a while. 

FYI, I have 1024x768 running out of the S-Video port and it looks 
great.  You can certainly break outside of the standard TV resolutions - 
just don't mess with the aspect ratio.

I tried setting the TVStandard option to HD720p or HD540p and it still 
complained that my modelines were "not a valid TV mode".  And it also 
didn't apply any of the default standard resolutions.  :(

Doesn't seem like anyone else here has had this problem, I got an 
account on the nvforum setup finally so I'll bring this there.
