[mythtv-users] Problem skipping forward/back

     I recently upgraded to v0.17 and had a strange problem with my
remote frontend where skipping forward or back was extremely slow and
commercial skipping cutpoints were not being recognized. Also, when I
first started to play the recording the total time displayed would
slowly change as though Myth was having to calculate it. Playing back
the same recording on my FE/BE machine worked perfectly.
     I used the system like this for a few days before noticing that I
wasn't getting any guide info on the remote frontend either. Updating
the mysql.txt files as mentioned in this thread fixed all of the
problems I was having with the FE:
