[mythtv-users] OT: ATI IGP 9100 PRO support for agpgart (device 7833)

I am using an SY-P4RC350 which has an ATI AGP 9000 PRO IGP.  It is also detected as device 7833.

Starting with kernel 2.6.8.1, there is limited support for this graphics chip, in that I am running X11 and graphics on it.  With previous versions of the kernel, I could install FC using generic X11 drivers, but after installation, I could never get X11 to start properly.  Starting with FC3, it does work.  I am currently running 2.6.10-1.766_FC3.  However, for you specific question about DRI, it does not yet work.  The drivers supplied by ATI are known not to support DRI on any of the IGP chips.  It does work for their Radeon based cards.  It is expected that some time in the future, it will start working, but when is an unknown.
