You can indeed get the capture card to sit parallel to the EPIA board,
by using a PCI riser card.

All things considered, BTW, I'd suggest going with a bigger case; this one
came with a *lot* of headaches due to (a) heat, even with the fanless
ME6000, (b) possible timing-related crashes which may be due to the PCI
riser introducing delays, (c) general instability which may be due to the
EPIA hardware, and (d) difficulties in getting any further components in
there.  If I was doing it again, I'd go for less geek-chic and more
generic (but reliable) ATX hardware.
