A-ha!  That's fixed it!

I'd misiniterpreted the documentation and had configured a different source 
for each DVB card.  I just deleted two of the sources and assigned the 
remaining one to all three DVB cards, deleted all the channels that used the 
deleted sources and now I can record three programmes simultaneously.  Woo 
hoo!

I have, unfortunately, seemed to have lost the programme guide data for at 
least one of my channels.  I'm using the EPG feature rather than xmltv.  Do I 
have to manually do something to make mythtv extract the EPG data for the 
channels or will it do it by itself as the EPG data is broadcast?
