I think it's on by default - surely that's how you're getting the
duplicate channel data?  One set from xmltv, one set from the dvb
stream.

I think there's a tick-box next to where you type in the xmltv id in
the channel setup screen of mythtvsetup, something like 'use on-air
guide', which you can disable.
