[mythtv-users] mythtv setup without backend and mysql

Hi,
Thanks. So I have to setup the  backend to play live TV. But since I
do not do any scheduling and recording, is it mandatory to have mysql
setup on the system for mythtv. I am doing the setup on a stand alone
system( without n/w).
