[mythtv-users] easy way to fix MPEG2 files from firewire

Wondering if anyone can recommend a good application for recoding files that 
I record via firewire. Every once in so often it seems like the indexing 
will become corrupted and I am unable to scan through the recording 
correctly. What I would like to do is just reprocess the file without 
changing any encoding/wrapper settings.
