[mythtv-users] selecting the video output device

Heya, fellers,

I have a PVR 350. I believe I can recall, when setting myth up the first
time around, a setting that asked for the video output. I set this to
/dev/video16, which was the tv output. It certainly works this way,
currently -- I can watch television on my television.

Instead of trying to become master of the universe with a completely
working myth setup, I came across a workaround solution that I can live
with -- someone offered me a computer monitor of equal size as my
television. Instead of attempting to get mplayer working over the tv
output, I am going to swap the television for a monitor.

My dilemma is that I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to set
myth in such a manner that it just plays television on the monitor again,
and sends the audio output to /dev/dsp instead of sending the audio to the
msp3400 driver, however that works. The simple question is "how do i tell
myth there's no tv anymore?"

Cheers,

--mike
