Thanks, once I had a 2.6.11 kernel though I just did 
# apt install dvb
# modprobe cx88-dvb

And tada "DVB: registering frontend 0 (Hauppauge Nova-T DVB-T)..."

2Min rather than the week I spend trying to get it working on 2.6.5!

I mythtv may take some time to compile on a 450 though[1] :-(

[1] Not like I can use distcc either as I don't have another machine
running
gcc 3.3.4
