Thanks for those questions. I see from the log for mythfrontend (see the log
at the end) that it seems it cannot find Xv. I am not sure what this is, but
after google-ing some I found that I can run xvinfo to get some information.
This is what I got:
======================
X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
no adaptors present
======================
From my google-ing it seems I get this when I do NOT tell Myth to use the
pvr-350 hardware for playback. However, I have checked this many times (and
I just checked again before sending this out). I have "Use the PVR-350's TV
out / MPEG decoder" checked and the ¨Video device for the PVR-350 MPEG
decoder:" is set to /dev/video16. Farther down I have "Program Guide Alpha:"
is 164.

I am not sure. I do not have mplayer installed (I think I uninstalled it by
mistake at one point and urpmi wants to install the wrong liblirc0.lib, so I
have to download/compile it... have not gotten to it yet). I scheduled a
recording o Myth and I see the drive light going on every so often, so I
assume it is recording.

At one point I did run all these tests and I was able to see just fine. As a
matter of fact, I remember I did something like
dd if=/dev/video0 of=/dev/video16
and I was able to see tv just fine. The problem seems to be within Myth.
Thanks!!

Couldn't get the color key color, and we need it.
You likely won't get any video.

* Couldn't find Xv support, falling back to non-Xv mode.
* MythTV performance will be much slower since color

* Consider upgrading your video card or X server if
