Most Linux IR receivers are little more than a module to receive the 
raw signal and demodulate it from the carrier. This is why they work 
with 99% of the remotes. Based on the size of the one you point to, 
I'm guessing it is one of those. Interpreting the RC-5 protocol is 
usually done in software, so it doesn't much matter what hardware 
you're using.

The important thing, therefore, is the software that the particular 
device works with. You want something that can be used with LIRC, and 
not some proprietary driver that will never get updated when the 
company goes bust. It's not clear from the ad what their Linux driver 
consists of.
